SLU Centennial Celebration

A day you should never miss. Celebrating the centennial celebration starting at December 1, 2010, which is actually the launching together with CICM day. What about the celebration of the Centennial Handog ng SLU sa Baguio?. The day of our enjoyment, it will be until December 4&5, 2010 only. Its all about "Pagpupugay sa mga Guro", its kinda related with 'happy teachers day' on my opinion. Definitely their will be outreach activities, exhibits, concerts and many more. Presentation of SLU-LES and SLU-LHS. Folowed by the Lantern Parade which is held at 6pm Session Road to Burnham Park and later the 100 voices concert. While on the next day it would be more on the  adults turn. Starting at 5am which is the marathon and walkathon of Fr. Dupont until the closing ceremonies of the celebration. The last two celebrations would be the SLU family day and X-mas Salo Salo at Maryheights Campus, Bakakeng. Maybe for the new built buildings there of the university. Finally, the SLU Centennial Grand Alumni Homecoming at SLU, Baguio City, January 22-23, 2011. Its becoming better and better. :)

How I Use Facebook

Facebook, the most recent famous social networking site. I also have a facebook account, but i just joined because my friends also have it. At my young age I just use facebook for chatting purposes and also ask for information's about our school or for other stuff. Its the new trend for the youth like me I prefer not to overuse it because it also brings addiction to most of the users. I use facebook for making friends even if I just keep adding friends but also choose them. Its only just for fun for me to use facebook.

About Me

I am a 3rd year high school student from SLU-LHS Baguio City. I was an elementary graduate before. I love to hear music specially the rock kind that brings to it. That's why I have so much interest in playing an instrument which is the guitar. I sort of not want to have guitar lessons but it can be much better if I study it by myself. We are five in the family my dad, Wilson Domlasin, and my mom, Catherine Domalsin. I have 2 siblings, Kate Domalsin, my sister, and James Ryan Domalsin, my brother. They are both have an interest in playing the guitar so I learned from them but only the basics. I wanted to create a good band that never quits playing music but when it comes to studies we always prioritize it first. I also like surfing and challenging big waves in the sea and wanted to join tournaments but it takes a long time to practice.

12 Year Curriculum
"Filipinos are smart". I don't know why, but Filipinos nowadays can finish their studies in an earlier time.

I thought we would make thing more easier and everybody knows that. There are positives and negatives about this implementation, one positive side of this is that some say "Para daw masaya" - huh?!, I don't get  the idea of being fun with adding additional two years of education for elementary and high school. One for the negative side of it is that I think that most Filipinos not only think about their childrens education but also for their tuition fee's that I know will gauge higher somehow. But I hope for somehow it can be "fun" for the incoming students who will experience this for awaiting implementation. Well, its all up to P-NOY and the Department of Education (DepEd) to decide if it will be implemented, and I also hope if they can think it all over again.

From Juan Miguel “Mike” Luz
“If they think it’s anti-poor…I think you should go to the rest of the world and ask them: Does education hurt you? Does education help you? I think the answer is pretty clear,” he said.

“The World Bank said we’re leaking, that’s corruption, about P400 billion a year. If we tighten up on what we’re leaking, we should be able to pay for this. It’s money that is not available, it is money we’re actually wasting,” he said.

"If the rest of the world, which has done much better than the Philippines, has gone to 12-years or more, I don’t understand how we can think we’re smarter," he added.

-We are smart Filipinos :)
"MABUHAY!!!"
